The New Addiction

All of this "learning" to cook has led me down a dark path. I have become obsessed with the Food Network channel. I have come to the conclusion that I will never be a chef and I think that Anthony Bourdain though hot in a crack addicted rocker kind of way, he is too pompus about food. I have fallen in love with Guy from Guy's Big Bite, Rachel Ray and the lady I wish was my grandmother, Paula Deen. Their is something about them that makes me feel okay that I will only eat food that I can pronounce.

Manic Monday: Star

One of the best nights I have had in a very long time was Saturday night sitting around the fire pit with family under the stars. There is something comforting about coversations that occur under the night sky. Laughing and joking and showing my 3 year old nephew how to roast a marshmallow gave me a sense of inner peace that I needed.
It was a fabulous break from being in front of a PC for work or for school. As much as I like to be high maintance, I am a nature girl at heart.
